Are you still using dial-up service to get on the internet?

Well, come the April 5th KIPCUG General Meeting to find out what Insight Communications has to offer in the way of Broad Band Cable service. You should see some really impressive up-load and down-load speeds that can make your internet visits much faster, more enjoyable and more productive. With the ever increasing amount of information available and the higher concentration of bits, bytes and gobbles we all may need to increase our speed just to keep up with what’s going on the internet world.

Glenn Noriewicz, Digital Products Specialist from Insight Communications will be our main presenter. We are also expecting a technical specialist to answer any of those complicated questions that some of our computer geeks may ask.

We are not sure what we will have in the way of door prizes yet, but we have been discussing some very interesting things like a cable modem and/or self install kits. Of course, if that is not your cup of tea, there is also our own KIPCUG membership attendance drawing which is now up to Two Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($260.00)! Do you realize that would pay your KIPCUG dues for over seven years! Wouldn’t you hate to have your name listed in the next Computer User News because you were not there when your name was drawn?

Since this is the Kentucky-Indiana PC User’s Group, please note that Insight does provide cable service on both sides of the Ohio river. So Y’all come!

Speaking of telephone companies that you may have had some difficulties with, Insight Communications also provides telephone service over their cables which connects to all parts of the world.

The KIPCUG General Meeting starts with the ever-helpful Back-to-Basics session.

Each month "Back-to-Basics" chooses a subject to improve everyone's basic/general knowledge. The sessions are intended to help the entry level user. Grant McCormick leads our Back-to-Basics presentations.  Contact Grant with your suggestions for future topics. .

User-to-User with Bill Cull

Bring your problems on a 3x5 card and we will try to give you a fix!

The User to User session with host Bill Cull is just before the Main Presentation, giving your KIPCUG friends a chance to answer YOUR questions submitted on paper. If YOU are having a problem with your PC, this is the time to get a good solution, so remember to bring your questions.
