Time:  6:30 PM
Location:
     CCUM assembly hall

This year INTEL® introduced the CENTRINO Mobile Technology. Centrino is not just a chip, but a family of devices aimed at mobile computing.

Intel's Main Presentation for February will introduce KIPCUG members to the cutting edge of mobile technology, Intel's Centrino processor. KIPCUG's ADVANCED USER GROUP SIG LEADER Tom Scanlan will tell us how it works, why it was developed and where the mobile PC revolution is headed.

The Centrino family includes microprocessors designed for low power mobile machines, but it also includes support chips that provide integrated power management with high-speed external data buses. The real power of Centrino is an integrated 802.11 Wi-Fi chip designed to work with the system.

This is your chance to see the Intel presentation on one of the next big steps into the future of computing.

Some day, we can envision streaming digital media from your TiVo machine to your laptop, while your household power management system updates an Excel spreadsheet used to track your electric bill. Science fiction? Centrino and Intel will help make it possible.

Come join us and take a peek at the future that is starting now!

Don't forget that the cash drawing for members in attendance this month. This could be your time! Come visit with your KIPCUG friends and make your New Year all that it can be
