"Windows Server 2003 Family"
Presenter: Fred Soward (bio) |
Date: 1st. Tuesday of each month
Time: 6:30 PM
Location:
CCUM assembly hall
4614 Brownsboro Road
Louisville, KY 40207 |
Fred will cover the new Windows Server 2003 Family
which includes: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition,
Datacenter Edition, Web Edition and Small Business Server. He will be
Exploring the Differences/What's New in Windows Server 2003: Active
Directory, Application Services, File and Print Services, Internet
Information Services (IIS) 6.0, Management Services, Networking and
Communications, Security, Storage Management, Terminal Services and the New
Horizons Integrated Learning Manager. It sounds like a lot, but Fred is the
only one I know that can present this much new information on a recently
released product and have those attending receive and understand the
presentation thoroughly. Fred and Microsoft want you to know that you can
"DO MORE WITH LESS" -- The Microsoft Windows Server 2003 family helps
organizations do more with less. Every day you're asked to make your
infrastructure more efficient, keep everyone productive, and deliver more
applications, and do all this faster, more securely and at a lower cost. Now
you can.
Microsoft Information Site
Fred Soward is responsible for all the Training Manager duties at the
Louisville's New Horizons Computer Learning Center. This means he leads and
is responsible for both the Technical Trainers and the Application
Instructors at NHCLC. Fred has also been a busy lad this year, adding three
Security certifications since last year to his ever-growing wall of
certifications. Mr. Soward was honored to be one of about 60 Microsoft
Certified Trainers from around the world to have the opportunity to work
side-by-side with Microsoft employees at Microsoft TechEd 2003 in Dallas,
TX. That week, he was privileged to proctor both the Windows 2003 Security
lab and Internet Information Server 6.0 lab, during the day event.
New Horizons Computer Learning Centers continues to be the largest
independent IT training company worldwide. With their new Integrated
Learning Manager (ILM) bundled with their classes, they now offer a student
a path unique among all training providers. New Horizons Louisville became a
regional solution by joining the Dayton and Cincinnati centers in January
2003 and becoming Progressive Support Services, Inc. of which Fred is
understandably very proud.
All of us at KIPCUG are please to welcome Fred Soward and his presentation
on the "Microsoft Server 2003 family of products". Please be sure to attend
the September 2, 2003 General Meeting. |
